Omkar Speciality Chemicals commissions new facility at Urdhwa Chemicals MoneyWorks4me (26/12/2012)

Omkar Speciality Chemicals’ (OSCL) has commissioned the plant of its wholly owned subsidiary - Urdhwa Chemicals Company located at Plot No C-4, Chiplun, Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra state. The plant with a capacity of 2,800 MTs per annum will manufacture a number of high value intermediates for pharma industry catering to essential life-saying drugs with the state of the art facility for production and quality control.


This plant will also open-up vast opportunity for OSCL to cater to the overseas market for supply of premium products. This facility has also thrown open possibilities for forward and backward integrations for some of the products being currently manufactured by OSCL in its existing facilities. The capacities of Urdhwa’s plant are already over booked with the reputed customers both domestic and international with whom OSCL is having long standing relations.


Besides, with the commissioning of the above facility, the status of various operational capacities in OSCL and its subsidiaries has reached a total capacity of 4600 MTs per annum. Further, with the R&D and IPR back-up of the company and the capacity revamp, OSCL is now geared up to take up new challenges in near future.


Omkar Speciality Chemicals is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of speciality chemicals viz., selenium compounds, iodine compounds, molybdenum compounds etc. and pharma intermediates viz., Potassium Iodate, Bismuth Ammonium Citrate, Bromoform etc.
